About Erin - Devotion Photography in the Methow Valley - Photo of Erin

I first learned about silliness in a swamp. As a very young child, I spent countless hours stalking frogs in the still waters behind our house, while subconsciously absorbing the rhythms of nature. In the years since, I have come to appreciate how rare and precious this gift really is. Finding 8me to relax and appreciate, to cultivate a deep sense of gratitude, sometimes feels like just another task to put on the calendar.

When I take my camera outside, it is with the humble aspiration to be surprised by, to bear witness to, and maybe even capture some of the grace that abounds; grace that frolics on the periphery of awareness like kisses blown from angels, creating moments of excruciating beauty that do not linger because they are intrinsically transient.

These galleries of images contain samples of subjects that have inspired me to pause in appreciation of phenomena that I could not have dreamed of, let alone created. With these images, I hope to offer you a pause; a breath and a moment out of 8me to soak in what is precious and fleeting and may never occur again.
